PayRouter Deployments

PayRouter may be deployed either in a decentralised or centralized environment.

Decentralised Environment

For example, a chain of stores could each have a PayRouter Server installed locally in the store, enabling it to communicate directly with the acquiring bank for both authorisation and settlement.

Centralised Environment

In this configuration a single PayRouter (or multiple PayRouters for load balancing and resilience purposes) are installed in a central location and each store is connected to the central PayRouter via a Wide Area Network or a Broadband Internet Connection.
